Strange Behavior on Website for Android Chrome and Samsung Internet Browsers
-
Hello everyone,
I am encountering a peculiar issue on our website when accessed through Chrome and Samsung Internet browsers on Android devices.
The Issue:
While the website is loading, any buttons that trigger an on-click event, such as opening the sidebar menu, changing tabs, or viewing the mini cart, are unresponsive, and the page becomes unscrollable. After a few seconds, when all scripts have finished loading, the on-click events work as expected. Additionally, I noticed that the Shoptimizer mini cart does not display any message when the cart is empty.Observations:
- The issue is specific to Android Chrome and Samsung Internet browsers.
- No problems are observed when using Safari on iPhone, Firefox, or Ghostery browser on Android.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Cleared all LightSpeed cache and browser cookies.
- Disabled plugins that load external code, such as tawkto chat, Facebook Pixel, and Google Analytics.
- Upgraded Chrome to the latest version.
- Attempted changing on-click events to .click() in the jQuery scripts.
- Upgraded LiteSpeed plugin to latest version 5.5.1
Website Details:
- WordPress version: 6.2.2
- WooCommerce version: 7.9.0
- PHP version: 8.1.9
- Theme: Shoptimizer
- Plugins: Elementor Pro and LightSpeed
I would greatly appreciate any insights or ideas as to what might be causing these errors on Android devices. I am keen to avoid disabling all plugins and the theme, as this website is fully operational and serves our customers.
Please feel free to share any suggestions or potential solutions to help resolve this issue.
Thank you very much for your support and assistance.
