• Hello everybody,

with the last WordPress stable release and default Twenty Twenty-Three theme, we have an issue on our startpage:

We display last most recent 3 posts in a query loop block and have a pagination block to access oldier posts. We have currently 5 posts (2 earliest posts displayed on the “second” page)

Almost works fine, BUT on the second page the second post displays the right title (title 2nd post), but the post content of the LAST post (content of 5th post) !!!

If I’m changing the Post Content block for a Excerpt block, it’s fine… (but we can’t change for excerpt like we want to displays links).

If I create a new page with the same template/blocks structure, everything is fine. It looks like this strange issue is only on the startpage !

I will appreciate any idea how to solve this issue and ask me if someone is able to reproduce it.
    Thanks !

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey @loloirie

That is very odd. I couldn’t reprduce this issue. Have you tried removing and adding a new Query Loop block with the same blocks structure on the homepage? I know you mentioned it worked fine when you created a new page with the same template/blocks structure. It might work if you redo the post query.

    Are you using any plugins?

Thanks for your help @west7 .

I’ve already tried to create a new query loop on the startpage but unsuccessful.
I will now try to deactivate almost plugins and switch to an other theme.

I’ve played a backup on my local server, and was able to reproduce the issue.

Then, I’ve deactivated ALL plugins. Didn’t solve the issue.
Switch to an other theme and recreate the same blocks structure, and it was ok.

Back to the Twenty Twenty-Three theme, and played a lot with templates and blocks… And finally got everything working by changing from home to blog-home template for the startpage…
but I don’t understand the real reason for this issue. That’s weird.

    Hey @loloirie

Glad you got it sorted out. That is weird. Might’ve been a conflict in the query. Happy badminton playing!
