Strange behavior with the date

    Hi,
    I’m working with your beautiful plugin on my site, but I saw some strange behavior when I set or update the date of announcement.
    I think the problem is the format, I’m italian and I use the format Day/Mounth/Year (ex 20/06/2010 for me is 20th June 2010 ) but when I see the admin timeline data is wrong. In some case this date is not recognized and the announcement have the current date-time
    The UI recognize my local time ( the jquery datepicker work fine ) also same for “Fast Edit” but on backend I think you have some problem.

    Hi there Odyno,

    I believe I have addressed the issue in the 1.1.4.1 release. You should have the updated version the next time you check into your dashboard, due to auto updates setup within the plugin.

    I had setup a localization function to try and adjust the date/time based on the local timezone.

    I’ve since removed the function altogether and things seem to be ok again.

    Hi, I just checked now! the Versione 1.1.4.1

    My steps:
    ALL Annoucement > click on modify the Annuncement without date > on edit page I see the Announcements with date 01/09/2015 (the current date but in MM/DD/YYYY format) > modify the data with 27/06/2009 > update button > I see the date and I have 01/09/2015 > I come back to All Annucement and I don’t have the date on list.

    Also

    New Annoucement > set date to 27/06/2009 > publish button > I see the date and I have 01/09/2015 > I come back to All Annucement and I don’t have the date on list.

    I think I’m going to need access to the site to better understand what sort of issue you are having.

    With a standard text description, it is really hard to figure out whats going on. Especially since we use a different date format in America.

    @odyno: 27/06/2006 is an invalid date. In this case the announcement date will be set to the actual date. Try to set 06/27/2006 instead of 27/06/2006.

    Same as you, I’m not an American and I prefer other formats as M/D/Y.
    We don’t need to discuss different date formats, this wouldn’t solve your problem.
    Timeline Express expects the input of announcement date in U.S. format M/D/Y, independent of your WordPress date format setting.
    Maybe your GUI causes the problem.

    I agree… The problem is not the date formats but how I can add one date with my (I think normal) wordpress configuration, because the gui let me use only d/m/y; for this reason I have notified this problem at this support forum.

    I can not reproduce your problem. My installation accepts any input in an edit field. It seems we have a different understanding of “GUI”. What do you mean with “GUI”? Do you mean a special browser? Or a special browser addon? Did you try another browser? It’s curios.

    Keep in mind those are not all the potential options for calendar localization. The entire localization options can be found here : https://github.com/jquery/jquery-ui/tree/master/ui/i18n

    I will have a look into what can be done about the formatting of the date input field on the announcement edit screen.
