Strange border around thumbnails?… please help

Hey folks, seems that theres a strange border around my thumbnails. To get the thumbnails, I simply set a featured image. I’m not a big fan of the border (not at all actually). I would like to remove it completely, but I can’t seem to figure out how. All help is appreciated. Thanks!
