    Hello,

I′m noticing a strange behavior with the emails that are bouncing.

First of all, I have set up an email address to receive all the bounces. So every time I send a newsletter, I receive all the bounced email addresses here.

The weird part is that when I look at the subscribers that have bounced, Mailpoet also reports that they have opened the email.

If this is true, then it means that the subscribers are actually receiving the newsletter (otherwise, why would Mailpoet say that they have opened it?)

If this is so, then why do I receive bounce emails from these addresses?

They shouldn′t bounce if they are actually receiving my newsletter, correct?

Can you explain this to me?

    What is happening here?

    thanks for the support!!

    Cheers!!

  • Hi @andresito,

as we’ve already replied to you, we are not sure why this is happening. We assume the email server in charge of bouncing back the email is actually accessing (aka reading) the newsletter, thus triggering the opens.

    Hi,

    thanks for the reply!

    But,

Does this mean that people are not actually receiving and opening the emails?

    Thanks for the help!

    Cheers!
