Strange breadcrumb problem

I have the same issue here.
Parent-category is switched with child-category…

I have the same issue, my breadcrumbs scrambled. This is happened after I updated the plugin a few days ago.

It shows this: Home ? Audi Q5 ? Audi ? Catalog ? Audi Q5 3.0 TFSI 252LE

And this would be the right order:
Home ? Catalog ? Audi ? Audi Q5 ? Audi Q5 3.0 TFSI 252LE

These are pages and all have only one parent. The url structure is like this:

Home					/
Catalog					/catalog
Audi					/catalog/audi
Audi Q5					/catalog/audi/q5
Audi Q5 3.0 TFSI 252LE	/catalog/audi/q5-3-0-tfsi-252le

Yes, I’m having the same problem and it seems that the latest Yoast update caused it.

I’m having the exact same problem. Since the last update, the breadcrumbs structure of some articles is incorrectly shown. Ex: “Listing >> US State >> USA” instead of “Listing >> USA >> US State”. This issue seems to affect only the article I recently updated or added.

For instance, this listing in West Virginia https://www.fleamapket.com/listing/two-crows-antique-mall/ shows the breadcrumb as follow “Listing >> USA >> West Virginia” (which is correct), whereas this one https://www.fleamapket.com/listing/arlos-antique-flea-market-and-flower-barn/ show “Listing >> West Virginia >> USA” which is incorrect. It should be Parent Category >> Sub Category, and not Sub Category >> Parent Category.

I have the same problem on ELTOWNHALL.COM

Note: Inland Wetland Agency 2020 Materials – May 18 is a relatively new page. I think this is the only page that is nested this deep. Other pages have been around for a long time and their breadcrumbs are fine.

Breadcrumb shows as:
Home ? Inland Wetland Agency 2020 Materials ? Inland Wetland Agency ? Boards & Commissions ? Government ? Inland Wetland Agency 2020 Materials – May 18

Breadcrumb should be:
Home ? Government ? Boards & Commissions ? Inland Wetland Agency ? Inland Wetland Agency 2020 Materials ? Inland Wetland Agency 2020 Materials – May 18

We are aware of this issue with Yoast SEO and there is currently an issue report open with our developers and a fix for this bug will be included in the 14.2 release of the plugin.

Same problem here, I downgraded the plugin because this bug is affecting new articles and we create a lot of posts every day. @devnihil if I update again the plugin now, the future patch will correct new posts or you suggest me to wait directly for the update?

I had to downgrade to 13.5 to get breadcrumbs work again properly. You can download it from here:

After this, we just have to wait the bugfix.

@darc1n why so far? For me breadcrumbs works with v. 14.0.4

@isisko87 I tried 14.0.4 first, but it didn’t changed nothing, I cleared my caches and everything. Maybe I forgot to clear some cache somewhere or I was inpatient.

@darc1n ah, ok! With 14.0.4 you have to manually re-save (only) latest article (all you publish before updating to 14.1 seem to be ok). That said, really hope 14.2 will be available soon!
