Strange Bug After Cropping Image

There’s a strange bug I’m experiencing in all my wordpress sites and when accessed from any browser, and it’s whenever I crop an image through the media editor, I cannot add an open bracket character “(” in the caption or alt image box. Is it just me?

You can try replicating this problem by adding featured image as you create a new post, then choose an image, then edit the image and crop it on the editor screen. Then save, then when you return to the featured image selector, try adding a caption with an open bracket symbol. It won’t enter! However, it works if you copy a caption with an open bracket symbol from notepad or something else, and then paste it into the caption box.

In practice, this creates a difficulty in that we would like to add dates or whatever to our captioned photos in brackets, and we can never enter the open bracket! Weeird!
