    Hi.
Today I updated the plugin to version 2.0.
After the update, a problem appeared. In cells that were formatted as currency in Excell, unidentified strings appeared on the page.
For example – in Excel I have €800,000.00 and on the page it appears #,##0.00 [$€-4227]
Thank you in advance for your help

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

It looks like the new Excel importer doesn’t properly recognize your special format here. Can you please try saving the table to a CSV file and try importing that?

Also, can you maybe send me that Excel file via email (the address is on https://tablepress.org/impressum/) so that I can run a few tests with it?

And just to confirm: With TablePress 1.14, the direct Excel import properly imported this file?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias.
With TablePress 1.14 the direct import from Excel (xlsx) worked fine.

Now following your instructions I have uploaded csv. It works fine. Thank you for the hint.

I will send you my xlsx file for testing this evening.

    Regards,
    Rafa?

    Hi,

TablePress 2.0 has a completely new Excel import engine, which is much more powerful — but as Excel really is a complex file format, some things might not yet work. If you could send me that file, I’ll be happy to investigate this!

For now, please use the CSV method then. For tables with “plain” data, it’s more reliable.

    Regards,
    Tobias
