Hello, ?? thank you for this plugin! It is exactly what I need. I just downloaded it and used it.

    I have 2 questions:

    1. can I somehow change the two big black parts, that are up and down the video. To be more light in colour.

You can see how the video show up for me here: https://venetadimitrova.com/mastermind/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-16-at-18.57.53.png

And the guy I saw your plugin in a Youtube video has it a lot more clear and light in colour – you can see the video here, 2:14 minute show how the video show for him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVL0z9pO60I

Can I do it like him?

    2. can I change this blue colour that is in the screenshot I sent you? Espesially in speed options. In settings I put the brown colour, but it shows only like a “hover” colour, not main colour.

Otherwise you can see how the last button is somehow lower. I don’t know if that is something on purpous. It’s Ok for me, but just wanted to point it if you haven’t notice it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Just to add on point 1. – now I did all my 4 videos and two are actually looking good without any black parts, the other two stay with those strange black blocks up and down

here is picture of how the good videos look like: https://venetadimitrova.com/mastermind/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-16-at-19.17.16.png

Do you know where that difference come from? It’s same thumbnail for all. All is the same.

    Hi @veneta-dimitrova,

If the player is not looking or behaving like the demo, another plugin/theme is likely loading its own version of Plyr which is interfering with the version provided with Protected Video. Please disable the other plugins and try switching to a different theme to isolate what is causing this.

Regarding changing the main colour of the player, this can be set at Settings > Protected Video within your WordPress Admin Panel.

For further styling of the player please provide your own CSS and refer to these variables.

Hello, thanks for the answer! ??

I had other player, but I disable it after I put yours. There is no other player plugin. But how can be from a plugin, when two videos are on the same page – one is looking bad with the black boxes and the other below it looks good, without them? I don’t know what plugin else to disable and I am afraid, that if I disable something it might broke other things.

And I can’t change the theme, because it is specificaly putted for the website to work as we want. This is not an option. I tested the plugin in another website (different theme, I don’t know if all plugins are different) – here is the result: https://venetadimitrova.com/mastermind/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-20-at-18.16.01.png

it is still with the black blocks up and down, but at least it shows the speed in grey, not in blue.

In the demo, when I click the gear button, it shows directly the speed options and it’s grey colour. In my website – when I click the gear button, first it shows me only that the speed is normal, then I have to click second time to show me speed options. And everything is in blue as you see in the second sreenshot.

Something in your website’s environment (likely another plugin) is interfering with the Protected Video plugin.

As you say, the demo looks correct. In my testing environment I also have multiple instances of a player on one page with no issue.

If you are unable to disable other plugins to identify the culprit, I suggest you set up a staging or development environment that allows you to test such things without impacting your production site.
