I’ve been getting a strange css error message when validating the css.

The error tells me that on ‘Line: 294
    Property font-face doesn’t exist : Verdana’

But I have no verdana in use

I also get a wierd warning which states that

    ‘Line : 294 (Level : 1) You have no color with your background-color : #autoXML697515697515’

I have no div called #autoXML, so do not know why this should show.

On my css sheet there are no instances of colour with no background colour.

The blog is below if anyone needs to check it out

  • It’s the calendar. You’ve got Verdana specified in the table that holds it, and the #autoXML “error” is shown by the validator as being on the same line. Sometimes the W3C validators spit out dozens of “errors” when only one thing needs to be fixed. In truth, neither of these may be the true error. I’d go through those tables and see if there’s a tag that’s not closed or a missing semicolon.

Thanks Jonlandrum, I’ll take a look at what’s going on – I suspected the calendar as it is usually the sidebar widgets that throw up errors.

If I remove the calendar there are no errors, so it is that damned widget again.

I removed the mention of the font face in the calendar php file and all is well.

Cheers Jonlandrum, you’ve saved my day.

Thanks! I’m glad I could help.
