• When I create a link from within an article to another article within my site, it creates a comment on the article I linked to. It shows up as a comment in my admin panel, and when I approve it, it shows up as a comment at the end of the article i linked to.

This is strange and I don’t know why it does this. Does anyone have any ideas how I can remedy this?

  • It’s called trackback.

If you don’t want it to show, you can uncheck “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page.” in post option.

Thank you for your help. I thought trackback was something that someone else does from another website? I didn’t think it would happen just because I create a link to another article in my site…? Do you know if there is a way to create internal links without having trackback but also without turning trackbacks and pingbacks off in the post option?
