    Hi,

I have a 403 error with this message, each time I try to download a media file put in a post. It happens only in private mode, not when connected to wordpress:

    — 403: Access Denied —
    This file requires authorization:
    You must be logged in
and a member of this blog.
    Log in to proceed.

I have a multisite installation (gregoryhuyghe.fr-main domain, et gregoryhuyghe.com). The problem concerns both domains.

I have these plugins (last version of WordPress also):
    Really Simple SSL
    EWWW Image Optimizer
    GDPR Cookie Consent
    Jetpack par WordPress.com
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Redirection
    Regenerate Thumbnails
    WordPress MU Domain Mapping
    Yoast SEO

My Wp_content had 755 permission, as well as all the subfolders, and files have a 644 permission. I don’t know why but I was under 705 (folder) and 604 (files). I didn’t modify the other parts of the website.

I uninstall Itheme Security plugin, and I didn’t find a mark of it in the database.

I also put a new htaccess and it didn’t change anything (so I put back the former one for security reasons).

I don’t know what to do, I have tried all the usual solutions and my files stay inaccessible.

Thank you for your help ??

    I resolved my problem.

The links for the downloadable PDF were still pointing to my WP.com blog I have now made private. So of course the files were inaccessible.

So, no problem with Htaccess, a plugin or something else.

If it might help some, I leave the message here ??
