• All of a sudden, the feeds for https://thepiratescove.us and https://americanflag.thepiratescove are no longer working in most readers. The American flag one is using WP 2.1.

    Checking the source, the error is because <div style=’position:absolute; top:-1323px; left:-4565px’> text </div> shows up before the <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN”
    https://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd”&gt;

    I have no idea where the stuff in bold is coming from. I do not have this problem with my test site, ncdevil.com/pc, which mirrors thepiratescove.us almost exactly, as it is my test site.

    I have checked the plugins, no dice. Can’t be the themes, as get same errors when change the theme.

    Any ideas?

  • Looks quite suspicious — maybe your server has been cracked?. Check /index.php — that is the first place I’d look. The original should only be 5 or 6 lines long.

    Also, upgrade to WordPress 2.3.1. That is quite urgent — WordPress 2.1 has known security vulnerabilities, and might be the reason for a server crack.
