    Hi all,

I use Autoptimize together with WP Fastest Cache and Scripts-to-Footer. Everything works very well. But when I enable LazyLoad to get the last % in speed, a strange flaw occurs with some pictures – but only on Chrome for Mac.

You can see it here: https://www.test.bondzio.de/
    User and Pass: test-2020

It happens with the grey-blue picture to the right. If I change that picture to one of a bigger size – for example 800 x 500 px – the problem dissapears.

And there are other pages without the problem, for example this: https://www.test.bondzio.de/newsletter-versand-follow-up-auto-responder/

Here the grey picture is a bit smaller (less height) and it works ok.

What is happening here? Why are some pictures not working? What can I do?

    Thank you!

    Sincerely
    Michael

don’t have a Mac, so can’t test I’m afraid :-/ can you describe the flaw (and maybe add some screenshots?

The problem are the white rectangles in top of the picture:

They appear a bit delayed. First the whole picture gets loaded and looks ok and then after a blink those rectangles appear.

Chrome on Windows looks ok, seems a Mac-only problem.

Chrome on Linux OK as well. What do Safari and Firefox on Mac do?

I see you have a “zoom” effect on those images, does the problem remain when that effect is removed?

The zoom effect has nothing to do with it, tried this already.

Safari and Firefox on Mac are both ok.

I sent the Chrome developers a bug report with screenshot and a link to the site.

Indeed if only Chrome on Mac and all other OS/browser combinations are OK, then indeed very likely a Chrome bug. Great find!
