Hi gang. This is my first post, so be gentle ??

I’ve been cleaning up my site after a eval64-takedown.
Reinstalled everything, and was going through the entire uploads-folder, when I came across some folders all called “12742” but spread over several months.

What are they? Do I delete? Do I keep?

  • The only thing that one can say for sure, is that they are not part of the original WordPress package.

Make sure they weren’t added by a plugin you might still be using, but chances are they probably don’t belong there.

    Thanks ClaytonJames.
So I looked through the folders. Numerous empty files, but a few had some IP-adresses and others base 64 code. When decoded the point to some dark places on the internet.

Right now I’m taking down the entire site, and basically going through the steps in the link you sent me.
Quacked off at the quackholes who break systems, but at least a bit wiser.
    Thanks for the help mate.

    You’re welcome.
