Strange HTML codes appearing on site.
-
Hello,
I’ve recently encountered so many problems with wordpress. Every single time I make an edit to the files, the HTML codes gets altered on its own somehow. For example, I’m getting millions of ‘%’ inserted in various lines of my stylesheet, especially into my image links and css properties, thus disrupting the entire coding for my website (https://felldownahole.com). Apart from that, I also get ‘e0a’, ‘pxk’ ‘e0b’ ‘%pa’ etc inserted in various parts of my html files every single time I press update. For example, my line-height property in my stylesheet gets modified to ‘linepxkight’ and my PHP codes are affected as well.
I’ve tried reinstalling wordpress and putting my files back. But I still receive the same error. I’ve even tried uploading a new file on its own and it gets modified too somehow. I’ve never had any of this problem with wordpress ever for the past five years, only now when I’m using your server.
I really don’t know what to do. I had to manually remove strings of codes on my own and this takes me at least a few minutes every single time I edit a file, even if i upload it via ftp too.
I’ve checked for malware and that seems not to be it. So it must be due to something else.
Please advise. Thank you so much.
