    Hi @wordpressrun

Could you provide us with the URL to your website? Could you also check if it’s running the latest version of Yoast SEO 18.9?

Yes, when you click or hover over the Yoast SEO menu in the sidebar, it’s expected that it would expand and show the other menu options such as ‘General’, ‘Search Appearance’, ‘Social’, ‘Tools’, and other menu options. We’re not sure why it’s directing you to the Workouts section. If you were to use a default WP theme such as TwentyTwenty, does this fix the issue? It’s possible it might be a theme conflict.

As for your other concern, we understand you aren’t seeing the ‘advanced’ section. Could you check if you are on administrator access? Or perhaps you have the ‘author’ role and this feature has been enabled – https://yoast.com/help/security-no-advanced-settings-for-authors/

Changing to a default WP theme such as TwentyTwenty, does this not fix the issue. I also deactivated all other plugins and this does this not fix the issue

    I am an administrator role.

    Any other ideas?

I prefer not to post the website url publicly. Can you send you to you in a direct message?

@wordpressrun I am sorry to learn that the issue persists even after performing a conflict check. This would be mostly due to some kind of error when a file is missing, corrupt, or returns an outdated cached file.

    1. Please start by clearing your site and browser cache.

    2. If the issue remains after clearing the cache, please manually reinstall the plugin.`

Before re-installing, let’s cover a few important things to?be aware of?beforehand. First, Yoast SEO stores SEO data and settings in the database, so manually updating is not expected to cause any data loss.

Second, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database for your site’s health and safety. This is especially important before installing, updating, or removing plugins. It provides you with a safety net in case something were to go wrong. Learn more about?the benefits of regular backups.

Thirdly, updating a severely outdated plugin may cause unexpected issues. Thus, we highly recommend using a staging or testing site to reduce the impact on your live site. Some popular web hosts offer quick setups for a staging site, so please contact your web host for assistance. They will probably be able to help you out. If your web host does not offer staging sites, the WordPress plugin repository offers?staging plugins?or you can?create your own staging site.
