    Hi,

I have connected your plugin with PayPal account on few websites, but for 5 attempts I have 4 strange behaviours:

    1) For 3 websites I got after first attempt to connect:

We could not complete the onboarding process. Some features, such as card processing, will not be available. To fix this, please try again.

After trying again connection was successful

    2) On 1 website during first and second attempt I have got the same issue as in point 1., but after third attempt it was even more strange – I have got the same message, but PayPal integration settings appeared and as I see all integration data are filled properly: Live Merchant Id, Live Client Id, Live Secret Key.

After refreshing settings page the message from point 1 disappeared.

I have not activated the PayPal Checkout Gateway in these WooCommerce instances.

All is ok if the API credentials are filled in this cases?

    Hi @dziudek,

If the API credentials are all filled, then it should be fine.
But under certain circumstances, the onboarding process can be interrupted, resulting in maybe only half the credentials being filled.

For example, when you are on the last step of the onboarding and immediately click the button that closes the popup window, it could fail.
In this last step of the onboarding process, you should ideally wait maybe 3-5 before closing the window.

But I understand that it may be tempting to go through the onboarding process as fast as possible when setting up multiple sites.
Could you please check if the behavior persists when waiting a bit?
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hi @niklasinpsyde,

Thank you for your answer – as I had to fastly connect few websites most probably I did not wait these few seconds. Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce this issue now, as all my websites are connected to PayPal, but as the API credentials are all filled I suppose that all is ok ??

Thank you for your fast answer ??

We’re looking to improve the onboarding logic as this behavior understandibly can be an annoying point of failure. This problem usually only occurs on the first attempt and is more likely to occur the faster the popup window is closed on the last step of the onboarding.
We also found the fullscreen mode in Mac OS can interfere with the process because it blocks PayPal from opening the popup window and forces a new browser tab instead.
But we’re here to assist when in doubt or when questions arise.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
