  • The symbols look like unicode 0092 which is a fancy apostrophe character. The font you are using does not have this character, so gives its character code number instead. You can change the apostrophe for an old-fashioned normal vertical apostrophe. On my keyboard, this character is on the @ key. You’ll have to squint to see the difference. Alternatively look for another font.

    Hi Lorro

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Is there a way to apply this on mass? We don’t want to go through all our content we have over x360 products.

See if this will do it:

Search and replace can be a sharp tool. Best to backup your database first.

Thanks @lorro it worked, but I’ve just noticed there’s also unicode 0096, not sure which symbol that should be, is there a way to fix this issue going forward? A permnant solution?

I think sophisticated word-processing software like MS Word will replace standard quotes with smart quotes as you type. You should be able to turn off this auto-replacement behaviour in your word processor settings.

If the content comes to you from someone who you don’t control, that won’t be possible. You’ll need to copy and paste the content into a simple text editor, thus removing the smart quotes, then copy and paste into WordPress.
