• Resolved WP CMS Ninja

    (@billiardgreg)

So originally this only was happening with Ninja Forms, but I have run into an issue where if PostSMTP is enabled, the outbound email shows HTML in its email. Looking at the header it is almost like the carriage returns are being removed from this line and it is all running together.

    X-Mailer: Postman SMTP 2.5.4 for WordPress (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/post-smtp/) Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 From: ‘xxx xxxx’ [email protected] Sender: [email protected] Reply-To: [email protected] Message-Id: xxxx@xxx.com Date: Thu, 25 May 2023 14:23:45 +0000 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline MIME-Version: 1.0

When I Deactivate PostSMTP, it then sends with the correct Content Type and on separate lines.

  • Hi @billiardgreg,

I hope you are doing well.

Go to the advance tab in the Post SMTP settings. There is an option for a broken email fix. Click on it and save the changes. You can see how to fix your broken email here.

This is happening to our emails too. Lots of HTML in the body of the emails. I tried the fix and it didn’t work. This is what I am getting even when I send a test

    Content-Type: text/plain; charset = “UTF-8″Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bitHello!Sent by Postman 2.5.4 –?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/post-smtp/Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

So this checkbox seemed to have worked for me. Although it still makes me wonder why this is happening. Almost like the header is not encoding correctly or being applied on separate lines. I am just worried that having this checkbox enabled, if whatever is causing it is undone will it continue to send looking correctly or will it then break again?

Just a FYI, My PHP version is 8.1.18.

    And mine is 8.0.28

    Hi @billiardgreg @amgill,

I hope you both are doing well.

Thank you for updating us. It is a conflict with the PHP version, and our team is working on it. A checkbox, however, is presently available as a replacement for the broken email.

@amgill Please create a new thread so we can discuss this issue.
