• I have a strange problem with my Google Maps. The icons for + , – and fullscreen all show up three times. What in the world could cause something like that? Have a look at the link and you will see for yourself.

  • I am seeing the same issue on my sites.

Hi, EM user here too. ??

Google changed their API, because “More users are using smaller screens”. Unfortunately, not everyone/every plugin can handle that ‘sudden’ change.

I have already asked the EM Dev team through the Pro forum if we could load an older API as that should revert the change. They are working on it ??

Personally I am currently working on a plugin to replace Google Maps with OpenStreetMaps altogether. ??

thanks a lot for those clarifications. Good to know that a solution is on the way. Addressing your OpenStreetMaps solution, how does that work on Android phones? The advantage of Google Maps I see that it opens on Android directly into the app, and you can get directions with GPS function and everything. When you click on an OpenStreet Map on Android, where does it open?

I have not gotten to the test-on-Android phase yet. Lol.

I’m taking a wild guess but I do not think it will automatically link, because Google Maps and Android are both owned by Google and therefore interact.

But (just like now) you can always add a link to the balloon with the Google Maps url.

this issue has been reported already to the devs; should get fixed soon

    @martinneumannat,

My plugin has been approved. You can download it here:

Would you please be so kind to test it for me, regarding the Android question? I am a very, very, very Mac and iPhone user. LOL. Many thanks in advance!

I tried to install and it works fine in the Backend, but I could not get any output to the frontend.

I found out the problem was with my Clearfy Optimization plugin. Now the only problem I have that i do not get an event marker. Look here:
    https://www.qualidadedevida.org/eventos/prescricoes-osasco-2018/

I also tested on Android, it looks fine, but it does not open in Google Maps like expected. Also the width is larger than the screen size. I guess it needs some css to be responsive. Where is the best place to put that?

you can add custom css at the end of your theme style.css or admin-dashboard theme options > custom css

also, there are other wp plugins which allows you to use css or custom javascript loaded in your wp_head or footer

Well, tell me what CSS do I need in order to fix my map? Not sure whether the triple symbols are a CSS problem. If so, send me the solution. And would be nice to get a bugfix out to resolve it for everybody.
