Strange URL redirection

I previously had all my blog posts presented on a created page at https://victoriaklein.net/blog/

A few days ago, I removed the /blog/ page & now all posts are located at https://victoriaklein.net/

I wanted to create a redirect (which I DID do via my web host) to have https://victoriaklein.net/blog/ go to https://victoriaklein.net/

Instead of working correctly, https://victoriaklein.net/blog/ redirects to a particular post on my blog (https://victoriaklein.net/blog/2009/10/blog-action-day-2009-fear-of-climate-change/) – any idea why this is happening?
