  • Usually this happens when a link hasn’t been inserted properly.
So you may have written http// , or htp:// instead of https://
Or there’s a space.. Have a look at the html editor and make sure that your links are properly written.

Can you provide a link to the page and tell us where that strange link is located? I’m sure that by looking at the source code, we’ll be able to see the error.

Click on the link above – leads to my site. Also the tab above the page says, Page 26 of 27.

Oh Christine, I see the word Blogspot in the link. I changed my permaliks to pretty links. I made changes in the htaccess that should have redirect blogspot type urls to pretty.

I know that, but what page can I go to that will lead me to this one? I would like to see the source code. Right now, that crazy page, when I look at the source code, all the other links are fine.

From looking at the HTML source code, though, I can see the Google analytics code installed 4 times. You only need it once.

    Do you mean this?

[ 691 lines of code moderated, that’s just way too much. For that many lines of code please use pastebin.com instead. ]

No, I mean a link to your page.

Example: go to [ link to your website page ] and click on this word in the [ area on the page ] and you will see that it takes you to this [ crazy url ].

The links of your site listed by Google look OK.

Where do you find the strange URLs? Webmaster Tools?

Krishna, they were in Google Webmaster Tools. They are 404s “Not Found:”

Did you get any message posted at your Webmaster Tools account? Do you find such URLs in your sitemap? If no, they are URLs created by Google’s system wrongly, and they won’t affect you, as Google has clarified earlier. Anyway, a better solution will be to take up the issue with Google.
