    Hi!

I have a website, where I have cookiebot by usercentrics installed – worked well so far!

But I just discovered that if I (in incognito of course) decline cookies, so only necessary cookie are loaded. And i navigate through my website, all of the pages have some strange long urls.

    Like: https://example.com/level1/?_gl=1*16197×4*_up*MQ..*_ga*MzMzMjA4NDgyLjE2NzU1OTI0OTQ.*_ga_255JBQT22V*MTY3NTU5MjQ5My4xLjEuMTY3NTU5MjUwMy4wLjAuMA..

When I accept all cookies the problem is gone, and all urls looks normal.

Its not always been like this, dont know when it started happening.

Also I have a few websites which have the exact same setup, which is not producing these long strange urls when I decline cookies. And then I have a few websites that does this behaviour?

Does anyone have a clue about what is going on? Why is it producing those strange longs urls?

    Hi,

The query parameter you see getting added to the URL is part of Google Consent Mode, specifically the “URL passthrough” setting. This essentially adds the data that would normally be stored in Google Analytics’?_ga?cookie to the URL.
The purpose of this feature is to allow you to pass data from one page to the next in lieu of not being able to use cookies without/prior consent.

You can disable URL passthrough directly from the WordPress Plugin like shown below:

Hello, I don’t see this option. Is this option only available in the paid version?

    Hi,

    Hmm, that is strange.
I think it should be available on both the free and paid version.
