Strategies to reduce costs?

    This is a shot in the dark, but has anyone found any sensible strategies to reduce costs? On a site that gets around 1,000 UV/day, I’m seeing approximately 150,000 image requests/day. The articles generally have 3 images. This seems completely insane to me.

    There’s currently a bug in the auto resize feature that could trigger a double load of some images above the fold. It’s fixed in the upcoming version. Disabling the option might bring the numbers down a bit. Also, if you have a lot of bots pinging your site, you can try to enable the “Bot Fight Mode” in Cloudflare for your domain (in Security – Bots).
