Streaming or Video Taping A Meetup Group

    Is there any way to record a meetup group without having to spend thousands of dollars on hardware and software?

    I saw a presentation on WordPress.tv but the presentation was so fast and vague, it didn’t really show how to do anything in a real life scenario. It was more about how brilliant the presenter was in buying the equipment and using it than how anyone in the real world could do something like that without going broke.

    Has anyone ever found quick, efficient, low-cost ways to record meetup groups or presentations without having to spend a fortune on electronics and hardware? I could use my laptop webcam Google Hangout but would have to wonder what the camera could see and how good the quality could be.
