Come on, this should be easy to resolve..

I think I’m going to fork this plugin, fix all of the issues and re-release this plugin. I proposed a resolution to the plugin author but have not heard back and a good number of users are reporting issues.

I plan on integrating slack notifications into the plugin as well.

You are welcome to make a pull request over at https://github.com/l3rady/wp-updates-notifier

    Scott,

You have a great plugin that really has its place.

However, the code severely needs an overhaul. There are countless static call of non-static functions, which results in white screen of death on sites running PHP in strict mode.

Looking forward to an update at your earliest possible convenience. Meanwhile, I?need to disable it. ??

    TBarregren,

If I can find some time today, I am going to curate some sort of pull request to prevent these errors. When I do I’ll post here and provide a link.

    Scott,
Is it possible that I be added to the list of or contributors in the readme? I am building up my plugin portfolio here on www.ads-software.com and would appreciate that in return for my time in helping out.

    Thanks,
    Evan

Yes I will happily add you to the contributors list if you contribute.

    Hey Scott,

I’m sending over an incoming PR on GitHub that should resolve all these PHP functions being thrown.

    Thanks,
    Evan

Ah, I just noticed the version on Github is 1 version ahead of the version here on www.ads-software.com.

Either way the PR will be an update to version 1.4.3.
