Strikeout not shown when quantity updated

We have just updated to version 2.3.0 and under the discount rules settings we have ‘Show strikeout when’ set to ‘Shown on quantity update (dynamic)’.

If we create a simple product with a sale price, when we view the single product page we see the normal price (with strikeout) and the sale price.

However, if we change the quantity, only the sale price is displayed – the strikeout price vanishes. This is a change in behaviour from version 2.2.2.

Note that the above occurs even when there are no discount rules applying to the product.
