• Hello,

    I am trying to use the String Locator plugin to locate a Google Tag Manager code but after installation and activation of the plugin it does not work.

    Unlike other issues here, I can see it under Tools but when I click on it, an empty screen appears with no text, options or error. I have tried to disable a Sucuri Security plugin but still no success.

    Does anyone have an idea what it may be cost by? It makes the plugin completely unusable.

    Hiya,

    A completely blank screen sounds strange (I could understand if the edit screen was completely blank, which would indicate a JavaScript conflict) ??

    Have you tried the general troubleshooting steps from https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-5-6-master-list/#post-13760920 and seen if any of them have any impact? Specifically the bit about deactivating various plugins?

    I also have this problem. I’ve tried resetting the browser cache, trying a different browser, resaving the permalinks, making sure the visual editor is enabled (it is), deactivating all plugins, switching to the twenty twenty theme, and manually uploading the zip. So far still just a blank screen.

    Hi Marius,

    thank you for your response. Just like @bluejeancorner I have also tried all the solutions presented and no result.

    The page after clicking on the String Locator is just blank with no message or error.

    Do you know what other solution I might try?

    Ditto here – exact same issue, blank screen with bringing up String Locator via the Tools menu.

    Has anybody figured out a fix?

    Yep. This issue is happening for me as well. I emptied my browser cache, flushed my WP cache deactivated and unloaded all plugins, deactivated all themes (incl 2020) except the live one, made sure visual editor is enabled and permalinks are saved, and the Health Check found nothing.

    This is occurring with both of my WordPress hosted sites.

    Any resolution here yet?

    Same here. Done everything I can think of and it remains blank. I have had the plugin installed and working on this site but after using a plugin if I no longer need it I remove them. This reinstall just gives a blank white screen.

    Also having this issue. First time using your plugin, once this starts working I’d love to give it a try.

    Same here; completely blank screen. No action possible; pity, as I need this functionality.

    Same problem. No solution so far.

    Hmm. I have this problem hosted on wordpress.com and I see no updates here! However, when I export the site and run it in the local app it works!!!
