Strings added to Strings Translation tab (via wpml-config.xml) not translating

    I have tried to search the forum for similar threads but unfortunately I can’t find the answer. To translate some theme-options I have made a wpml-config.xml file, so they would be added to the string translations tab. And it worked, because they show up. So far so good!!

    However, the translations don’t appear on the website. I am sorry I just can’t figure out what I am missing. All the other strings are translated without any problems. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

    Polylang: Version 1.5.4

    website: https://www.spanishlanguagetravels.com (the English translation of the website is not ready yet, so you only see the Dutch version (main language), I am trying to translate upper socket text and footer text.
