    Hi,

I have just discovered that with Stripe payment buttons setup, if a member clicks one and opens the checkout, but then changes their mind and clicks the ‘Back to website’ link, this takes them to the link I set up in the payment button for cancelled subscriptions – I thought that link was for members who had actually made a purchase and then later decided to cancel the renewal – do I have that wrong? Or is this a fault? Previously the ‘back to website’ link just took them back to the page they were on.

If I have got the wrong end of the stick with this, how can I handle existing subscribers who want to cancel their renewal as regards sending them to a ‘sorry to see you go’ page, asking for feedback/reasons? And how can users just be returned to the page they were browsing in a ‘changed my mind before purchasing’ situation – I have multiple pages where visitors have the chance to purchase and when I try leaving the link setting blank it just takes them to the Home page and not the page they were on?

Did you create your Stripe Subscription payment button using the following documentation?

    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/sca-compliant-stripe-subscription-button/

If you want to create a button to allow your members to cancel their Stripe subscription, the following documentation should help.

Let me know if the above information helps you.

    Kind regards.

    Hi mbrsolution (@mbrsolution),

Yes, all my payment buttons were set up in the way documented.

And I already have that facility for members to cancel their subscriptions – I thought the link in the payment button settings was for them to visit if/when they did this, rather than being the url for the back to website link in the Checkout window.

Please let me know how (a) when a subscriber cancels their paid for subscription they are taken to my ‘sorry to see you go’ page; and (b) when a not yet subscribed user changes their mind before completing checkout and clicks the back to website link, that they will be taken back to the page they were on i.e. what can I put in the payment button settings to achieve this, or is that not possible?

Unfortunately we don’t have a feature for this at present.

Unfortunately this is not currently possible.

    Kind regards

OK, I see. Even though I have the [swpm_stripe_subscription_cancel_link] shortcode in use, I don’t have any way to see what happens when it is clicked – can you tell me where the code is in the plugin that handles this, so I can see if I can work something out to redirect?

Sorry for my late reply. Check the following folder /simple-membership/classes/ and search for the following file class.swpm-utils-subscription.php.

    I hope this helps you.

    Kind regards.
