• Payement renewal with Stripe Connect module provided by Wedev Dokan developers is buggy since months. Few updates, no improvements at all on this critical issue, the next update should solve it, as they said. But still don’t..

How are we supposed to manage a subscription based marketplace business with recurring payment that is not working? Come one, that is just a matter of using correctly the Stripe API, which is well documented for that, why are you not fixing it once for all?!

    I would not recommend Dokan.

  • Has there been any update with this Payment renewal bug with Stripe Connect module?

I am currently building a marketplace using Dokan, and my whole business model is based on recurring payments from vendors using Dokan Stripe Connect.

Furthermore, WP Admin > Products > Edit product – there is a bug with the Subscription type product as the product type doesn’t have the Tax Status and Tax Class selection option.

There are however these classes on the “Quick Edit”. When I select the relevant tax status and tax class from there, and then when a vendor purchases a subscription, it shows all the tax calculations that I set up correctly throughout the website but the price doesn’t reflect in my Stripe account.

For example, vendors are therefore paying £100 + tax (£20) = £120 on my website, but only £100 shows in my Stripe account. Where has that £20 gone?

Please fix this bug. I have already submitted a ticket but no avail.

Hi @caroltheo I had no news since last week. They swear to make tests on their own server, but no news at all..
Did you try to make recurring payment in test mode with the Stripe connect module provided with Dokan? I’m eager to know if you succeed!

Yes, I made the recurring payment in test mode with the Stripe connect module provided by Dokan, but although the tax calculations show as correct on the checkout and on the vendor’s recurring subscription order confirmation, there is no tax being shown in my Stripe account.

Dokan, please explain why, when you built the Dokan Stripe Connect and Vendor Subscription modules, you didn’t include the Tax Status and Tax Class in the Dokan Subscription product type? And how come the tax Status and Tax Class only show in the Product Quick Edit settings?

Taxes are a legal requirement for marketplace owners and taxes are especially very complex when it comes to online marketplaces. You need to allow the marketplace owner options of setting taxes for vendor’s recurring subscriptions; this is a basic fundemental for any eCommerce business.

thanks for your swift reply. But are you talking about subscription products? (made with WC Subscriptions plugin)

ok, my issue is about this one:

    Dokan Vendor Subscription Product
    1) https://wedevs.com/docs/dokan/modules/dokan-vendor-subscription-product/

which is not working with 2)

Slightly different to what your asking but can anyone tell me if the customer receives an email from your website after each recurring payment. Without an email or order shown in the customer orders WooCommerce page there is no way for them to see an invoice/receipt for each month they pay.

Whats the point in a recurring payment system if does not add to WooCommerce orders. I cant launch my site till I can do this.

Is there a fix or work around or is it just my site not work properly.

    Thanks
