Stripe – Forbidden message when trying to activate

    When I attempt to use the free Stripe gateway in setup, I click on the big “Connect with Stripe” button, but receive a Forbidden message every time when trying to connect to https://connect.givewp.com/stripe/connect.php?stripe_action=connect&mode=test&return_url=http%3A%2F%xxx.146.xxx.93%2Fbac2%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php%3Fpost%3D0%26action%3Dedit%26give_tab%3Dstripe_form_account_options&website_url=https://xxx.146.xxx.93/bac2&give_stripe_connected=0

    How to fix?

    Hi @dperis,

    I have not seen that specific error but there’s a known issue if you try to connect to Stripe and your site is running on PHP 8. If you are using PHP 8 then the workaround is to downgrade to PHP 7.4
