Stripe misbehaves with woodmart

Hi there,

Can you install the free Storefront theme and see if Stripe works properly? It sounds like the theme running on your site has some conflicting code.

Yes sure I can just want to make sure that can I revert back to the woodmart (purchased theme ) after I check without damaging any page or content of my website ? Because I am not a professional.

You should be able to quickly revert back to Woodmart with no issues. If you want to be double-safe, you can create a staging site just for testing by using this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/

The gallery pic appears even stripe is active, I am sure after some setting price for variable item will also appear.
I tried it and then deleted because I like the theme which I have.

Just to confirm – the site works as expected when Storefront is active? If that’s the case, you’ll want to get in touch with the developers of the Woodmart theme you’re using; there’s a chance they already are aware of the issue and have an update ready.

Yes it worked with the gallery pics desplaying under the main product pic. though I did not check on variable products where changing attribute changes the price. But I am sure it must be working.

Hi @shamskabra – In that case, you’ll want to reach out to the developers of the Woodmart theme to have them look into that conflict. We can only test against default themes, such as Storefront.

Hello again,
after a few conversation and trial back and forth here is the update.
The theme developer asked me to use a wordpress default theme like twentytwenty and check the stripe. So I did. For me the gallery pic was appearing even when stripe is active only the variable price was not appearing. But the developer said that the error still exists and you should contact the plugin developer for the solution. the screen shot he sent me i want to share with you.

Taking a look at that, this means the country you have set as the Shop address doesn’t work with the Payment Request buttons.

You have this set to KW – Kuwait. The Payment Request button (Apple Pay etc) only works in certain countries.

What I’d recommend is unchecking the option for Payment Request button in the Stripe payment gateway settings. Save the settings and refresh the product page.

You are right, I am thinking of that too, it might not be compatible with the area i am setting up the shop so I respect your suggestion and surly I will try that, at the same time I would like you to know that I checked other plugin of stripe which sounds almost same with some additional payment gateway added to name exact “Stripe For WooCommerce” and this seems to have no error at all. Do you think I should use it ?

I’m unsure how that other plugin handles this scenario.

What is happening here is that the error is thrown if the country for WooCommerce > Settings > General > Store Address doesn’t match the array of supported countries of Stripe – https://stripe.com/global – the error is thrown by Stripe.com JavaScript and not our extension.

You can continue using our Stripe plugin and only need to deactivate the Payment Request button option:

WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe > WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal > Define – Title

Uncheck this, and save the settings and this error will disappear.

I did try as you suggested theme seems to worked fine but after an hour the add to cart button started rolling as if something could not load and then

“There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

Called live help support of Hosting because I cant even enter to my WP Admin panel and soon error was gone. our communication was interrupted so unfortunately I could not ask him the reason. but another help desk told me that this basically happened due to plugin.
