stripe not passing active status back to site

I have payments processing via Stripe. There are 2 buttons I have created. 1 is for yearly and one is for monthly subscriptions. The payments are hitting Stripe and processing successful. the clients account status is active on Stripe button the website it is showing “expired”

Since the Stripe communication does not seem to talk to simple Memberships and pass the correct status, I will have to leave a review describing how this plugin does not working with Stripe recurring and that this issue is not addressed by the devs.
