    Hi @sodmond,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I noticed that you mentioned a screenshot that could provide more details, but it seems it didn’t come through. Could you please try uploading the screenshot again? This will help me understand the issue better.

Regarding the error message you’re encountering, it indicates that the payment method details required to process the payment are missing. This can sometimes happen if the payment information isn’t being passed correctly to Stripe. Here are a few steps we can take to troubleshoot:

    1. Check Stripe Plugin Settings: Ensure that the Stripe plugin is up to date and configured correctly. You can find the documentation for setting up the Stripe plugin here.
    2. Conflict Check: Temporarily switch to a default theme like Storefront and disable all plugins except WooCommerce and Stripe. If the issue is resolved, re-enable each one at a time to identify any conflicts.
    3. Logs Inspection: Check the WooCommerce logs (accessible via WooCommerce > Status > Logs) for any entries related to Stripe around the time of the error.
    4. Update Payment Methods: If customers have saved payment methods, ask them to update or re-enter their payment details from their account page.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please provide more details about the error, such as when it occurs (e.g., during checkout, when confirming the payment, etc.) and any specific steps that lead to it. This information will help us pinpoint the cause more effectively.

We’re here to help, so please keep us posted on your progress, and we’ll do our best to get this sorted out for you.

    Hi @sodmond

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

I hope that helps! Let me know once you have done a conflict test!

Hi ?? We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
