Stripe Trial Time?

  • I’ve got a site with a yearly subscription and am wondering if I can use Paid Memberships Pro to setup a free trial of 6 months. So it is free for 6 months and then you pay $10/year after that for example.

    Is that possible? If it is, what would I do for my Discount settings?

    If it’s not possible, could I do $5 for 6 months instead of $10/yr? If that’s my best bet, how would I set that up? I don’t think I understand all the options for discount codes (yet)!

    Hi Andrew,

    I do believe there is a Pro add-on that would be sufficient for you -> https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/plus-add-ons/subscription-delays/

    This allows you to delay the subscription for X amount of days before billing the user.

    Alternatively you could simply create a level that expires after 1 year and have a discount code that is $5 off the initial price which means the user will get 6 months for $5 and then when time is due for renewal your users will have to pay $10 thereafter.
