Stripped themes when downloaded

When different themes are uploaded and activated, they are not at all like the demos. Almost everything is down to scratch when it comes to colours, pages and more. Themes are free versions. Is that why there is a lack of functionality and styling? See urls with a screen dump of the themes Rowling, Activello and Hueman.
