stripping images out of content then reloading them in

Hi all,

Ok i’m not sure if this is the best way to do this but i want a bit more separate control over the images & description in a single post.

I have some code that strips the images out of the content so i am left with just the description.

I am now hoping i can find some code/plugin to grab all of the images in the post and display them so i can have a:
<? show_images ?>
<? the_content ?>

type layout in my loop.

If anybody could help me out or let me know if there is a much easier/better way to do this it would be much appreicated
