Stripping or modifying MS Word formatting from posts

    I recently helped a friend move a blog from Blogger to self-hosted WordPress. I did not realize that she had originally composed the posts in MS Word and cut-and-pasted into Blogger. Since this was all done via XML export and import, all the MS Word crud (class=”MsoNormal” and all that) survived the transfer, and is getting in the way of the font and paragraph formatting that the theme would otherwise provide.

    Ideally, I would like to find a plugin or PHP hack that will permanently strip out all the MS Word cruft. Failing that, I could live with making simple changes to the MS Word styling that will alter the font and the spacing between paragraphs.
