Structure Data Errors

    I’m using a free version of MH Newsdesk lite.

    The structured data at Search Console shows I have 314 errors. They are all indicating “Missing: fn”

    Can you tell me how to fix this?

    thanks for using MH Newsdesk lite.

    These notices in the Google Webmaster Tools are normal as they indicate that there is no author data available for the particular posts on archives and that’s logical as there is no author name shown on archives, but date and category of the particular posts instead.

    That means you can simply ignore these notices as they won’t affect your website or Google rankings at all.

    And if you’re familiar with coding and would prefer to show the author name on archives as well, you could create a child theme and modify the function mh_newsdesk_lite_post_meta(); within the file /includes/mh-custom-functions.php as you like.

    Thank you for your quick response. I am glad to know that it has nothing to do with my website or rankings.

    I am not familiar with coding or child theme. If I still wish to modify the function, is it going to be taken care of with a paid version of this theme?

    You’re welcome. When you purchase a premium theme, you have theme support included, not custom development. Custom development or the creation of a custom child theme for you based on your personal requirements is custom work and developers usually don’t work for free. ??
