As I can see, you already figured it out.

Actually, I thought I figured it out but I am still getting the error code. That is what is so confusing.

The last time I updated the file single.php and the functions.php file was on 3/22. It was last detected on the 3/26.

I am showing on mypestcontrolinfo
41 missing updated errors
26 missing author errors
2 missing entry titles

On my Presidents site I am seeing
59 missing updated errors
4 missing author errors.

I am not exactly sure how I go about assigning the author in wordpress. Since i am currently the only site contributor, I am the only author of all posts.
