Structured microdata in text areas

  • Hi there.

    I’m trying to optimize my website for local SEO. I want to use microdata in text areas of my front page.

    Every time I enter a microdata code, e.g. <span itemprop=”email”>, it gets rewritten as a simple <span>.

    Is there any way to prevent this?
