Stuck at 96% Restoring

  • Hi, have tried to import and restore from a backup on my ‘live’ server, but gets stuck at 96%. Have tried 5 or 6 times now, and have had to reinstall wordpress each time as the restore isn’t completing.
    This time I’ve FTP’d the backup file to the backups directory, and restored the backup. It’s been sitting on:
    Restoring 5064 files…
    96% complete
    For about 30 minutes now.

    Any ideas? Ive used this plugin to build a few sites with no problems, but can’t get this one working.

    Hi rachaelburke,

    I am very sorry for the inconvenience.
    Usually with this problem, there might be some large files or backups from other plugins that get the plugin stuck.
    Could you make sure that you delete other backups from other plugins on your exported site and attempt to both export/import again?

    Hey after a few more tries, it’s finally completed. However my web host says I’m about to hit I/O limits…

    Any idea what the problem might have been? Don’t want to get stuck like this again!

    Hi rachaelburke,

    Did you manage to delete some backups and re-do the export/import again?
    As I mentioned earlier, usually the plugin gets stuck when there are large files like other backups in the archive.
