  • Having the same issue. Dropbox link is a 404 too

Same issue, upload to new site hanging indefinitely at about 60-70% complete.

Tried most recent update, Dropbox link, Dev, and 2.0.5 (GoDaddy deactivates), but none seem to work.

Please let me know if a fix is found!

Thanks so much for your hard work.

Support suggested I change my max allowed packet size in the sql config, however my ISP doesn’t allow that. Resorted to manually moving the localhost site in the end….

Same problem. Hangs up at db restore. Did anyone resolve this?

Site of about 100MB hangs at import to local during the database update.

On Refresh, the site is there but can’t access admin.

Same problem here. Plug in is stuck at “restoring database” waiting for about 1 hour now.

I’m getting the same problem. Also, it wipes the live site completely. When will this be fixed? Looks like it’s been a month already. Using Firefox with Firebug installed. MySQL 5.6.21

Any update on this? Trying to restore a site to a new GoDaddy WP install and after repeated attempts – hangs at 7%.

Update – must have something to do with GoDaddy – because I just set up a WP hosting account over at BlueHost.com and the restored the WP site without issue!

Same here – GoDaddy.com with WP 4.2.2. Stuck on 7%. No resolution yet.

Did you try to change Database collation type to ‘utf8mb4_unicode_ci’ with phpmyadmin? I solved with this method.

Thanks @cryptooth. Too technical for me unless there’s an easy way thru GoDaddy? Instructions posted anywhere?

UPDATE – managed to find (easy actually) and logged in and changed it. Now I’m getting database connection error. So, that wasn’t as smooth as I anticipated.

unfortunately changing to MySQL connection collation: utf8mb4_unicode_ci did not work.

    Stuck on Restoring Database.
And Stop Import button is not available.
    ………
    Then a dialogue box saying:
Unable To Retrieve The Status Of The Import. Is Your Server Running?

My import file is 173MB, is that maybe the problem?

Just had a similar issue, on GoDaddy, but found a workaround that worked in my case.

After a few attempts installing WP via the Installatron page (which was initially successful), I’d get the hanging “restoring database” as well.

At that time I tried launching the site and noticed the error may have something to do with the limit login attempts plugin that GD defaults to on the WP install.

I uninstalled everything, disabled “limit login attemtps” on the next install, as well as deactivating all plugins OTHER than the all-in-one-migration, then imported the migration file and was all set.
