• I need help – caught in a generic login loop for these sites: https://vitabakes.com/wp-login.php and https://sgbizservices.com/wp-login.php – Also tried wp-admin and cannot get into even see the dashboard. When trying for admin I get Page 404 not found errors. I just need steps on how to get into my account – I understand this issue may happen when the plugins are outdated and that’s is the issue but I need to login somehow in order to update them. Can anyone help in this regard?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • ??????????If it is a plugin issue, you could try renaming the plugin folder, for example by prefixing it with underscore “_”. This will automatically deactivate that plugin and maybe you would be able to access the dashboard ?

How can I do that if I can’t even log into see the Dashboard?

Ok, so first thing, those aren’t WordPress.com sites. ??

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com are two different entities: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/wordpress-vs-wordpress-com/

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. Hopefully, this will force the default theme to activate and rule out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

If neither of those make a difference, try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

If you’d like to manually make a backup of your site first, please follow the steps at https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/wordpress-backups/

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
