Stuck on “Restoring Database”

I’ve been a fan and avid user of this plugin for awhile but for some reason it didn’t want to work for my most recent migration. Each time I tried to import the files it would get stuck on “restoring the database” and you are not able to stop the process. One instance it was able to finish restoring the database however it then breaks the site. I’ve tried using an older version of the plugin however it yielded the same result. After having to do a clean wordpress install for the 5th time, I’m hoping someone can offer some advice.
