Stuck with advanced-cache.php error message

  • I inadvertently activated the WP Super Cache Cache feature when I have another cache plugin also activated. Now I am stuck. All I get on all my admin pages is the error message asking me to delete the advanced.cache.php file. I have renamed the file to advanced.cache.php.old. The message will not go away. I cannot access my plugins page. HELP!

    Problem solved. Too late to post image. Using FTP client, I went to the Plugins directory on the server and simply renamed the WP Super Cache folder to WPSuperCacheOLD. This caused the plugin to stop working, and the message has gone away, and I have my admin pages back.

    I need to make this into a proper admin notice rather than dying.
