• Hello!

Really enjoying using the test facilitate of your plugin – much easier than others I have used before. To put my site in context, I’m trying to create assessments for my secondary school students which I can track. I have a few questions however.

I see from another thread there is an issue with viewing ‘students’ atm, but have found i can view them if they have completed courses, but I can’t easily see how they have achieved in the courses they have completed. Where should I be looking for this? When I go to assessment it tells me I have notifications on the sidebar, but there is nothing on the page when selected. I also read you can download this to a pdf, but I can’t see how.

Secondly, is there a way of importing students details, rather than individually typing them in or getting students to apply? Naturally we have a list of all students at the school and this would save me a hell of a lot of time. Whether this be in conjunction with another plugin/add on or with coursepress.

    Many thanks

    Hey there ejacksonstanborough,

    How are you doing today?

Not being able to see all students in CoursePress -> Students is an issue with the one of the newer versions of WordPress, this has been fixed on premium version and the same fix will be implemented in the free version in the following plugin update.

New version will also include bug fixes for assessment section so hopefully this will be fixed as well.

You should be able to generate reports as a pdf in CoursePress -> Reports https://screencast.com/t/xyD7c0iyAh.

As for importing students, if you have your students as users on another WordPress site you should be able to import users which can be after manually assigned for courses with plugins such as https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-ultimate-csv-importer/.

    Hope this helps ??

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hey there amrutr,

I’ve discussed this with plugin developer just to make sure and due to plugin design this is unfortunately not possible.

With that being said can you please start a new thread in the future since your question is unrelated to the one in this thread.

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Thank you so much Bojan

    Hey ejacksonstanborough,

Just letting you know that we’ve released the CoursePress update with the fix for the issue with Students tab and quite a few additional fixes.

    Please update the plugin ??

    Best regards,
    Bojan

I do have a question that relates to the student progress. I setup the Coursepress and added my Categories, then add my Course. After that I proceeded to setup my units.

The units are made but the quiz questions do not work. As each unit has its own set of quizs for it. I added the video, then the written course, then the quiz. And once they get to the quiz they answer the questions click on “Done” and it does nothing. I even clicked on Save Progress and Exit, but the results of the quiz do not showup. I have looked at it inside and out and can not figure out why it does not submit the answers.

Is there something I am missing becuase it seems to be not submiting the answers?

I even went back and made different pages for the unit to see if that would make it work. NOPE. I am at my witts end trying to figure out why.

Any advise on this would help. As I am getting around 200 visitors a day waiting on me to fix this. And until I can fix it I look like a idiot for adding.

    Hey ardodd87,

Sorry to hear you’re having these issues ??

Generally you’d want to open your own thread.

With this being said I’ve tested the latest version of CoursePress and I couldn’t recreate the issue, clicking on done in the unit should link you to the units list with the progress (percentage on the right) being updated based on how you did on the quiz.

I’m assuming this is related to a plugin/theme conflict. Can you please test for conflicts by using default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen or CoursePress theme and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Support-Process-Support-Process.png

You can open a new thread with the information you find and we’ll continue from there.

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Thank you Bojan,

I will open a new thread just for this to help out.

I will try to recreate the steps and the way I set it up. As I dont know if it is a plugin conflict. But will include all steps to make sure and see about testing it on another theme.

I have tried a error fix plugin called CleanFix and the wpXtreme pluging to try and solve any issue’s. But it did not work.

    thanks,
    Albert D.
