Student should need to pass quiz to move onto next course?
-
Hi, it seems this question keeps popping up with functionality in works nearly two years ago:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/lock-lessons-before-student-pass-quiz/
Basically, despite how good Tutor LMS is and great job so far team! It seems Tutor LMS does not have the ability to lock course progression based on results of a quiz (pass/fail)
This functionality is a fundamental part to the student experience otherwise this sends incorrect signals to the student.
If a student can move onto the next, more advanced topic (without passing) then the prerequisites pro feature is broken/incomplete.
The exploit is that students can just tell other students the quiz has no weighting because you can fail and move on.
I also suggest the drip feature also accomodate these pass/fail checks such as:
“User must complete prerequisite before new course reminder is sent”
And/or
“Unlock course based on passing quiz of a particular course”
“send reminder email that new course is available but is awaiting on the following courses to be complete”
I hope this helps anyone else looking for a solution as Turor LMS seems very good, but just needs these fundamental features to be fixed/implemented.
